Frequently asked questions
Everything about moving value both ways between Solana and Robinhood Chain — and what to do when something looks wrong.
Getting started
What is Hoodetta?+
Hoodetta is a place to move value between Solana and Robinhood Chain in both directions, wrapped around a hooded, caped pig with a very loud community. You can buy Robinhood Chain tokens with the SOL you already hold — and go back the other way just as easily.
What do I need before I start?+
A wallet with some SOL on Solana (Phantom or OKX both work), or an EVM wallet with a little ETH on Robinhood Chain if you want to start from that side. Nothing else — no sign-up, no email, no account.
Do I have to create a new wallet?+
No. Connect the wallet you already use. A Robinhood Chain address is derived for you from one signature, and you can also plug in MetaMask, Rabby or OKX instead.
Does it work on my phone?+
Yes. Open the site inside the Phantom or OKX in-app browser and everything — connecting, quoting and signing — works the same as on desktop.
Wallets and keys
Where is my Robinhood Chain wallet?+
It's created the first time you connect: you sign one message and your address is derived from it. The same wallet always produces the same address. You'll find it on the Portfolio page.
Can I export it to MetaMask or Rabby?+
Yes. Portfolio lets you reveal the private key so you can import it anywhere. Anyone who sees that key controls the funds, so never paste it into a chat, a form or a support ticket.
Can I use my own EVM wallet instead?+
Yes. Connect MetaMask, Rabby, OKX or Phantom's EVM account and Hoodetta will use that address for balances, buying and selling.
Why don't my tokens show up inside Phantom?+
Phantom's main view is Solana. Tokens bought on Robinhood Chain live on an EVM address, so they appear on the Portfolio page here or in any EVM wallet after you import the key.
My balance shows zero but I know I have funds.+
Usually the wallet switched to a different account or a different network. Check the account card on Portfolio — it shows the exact address being read and the network you're on — and switch back to Robinhood Chain.
Swapping both ways
How do I buy a Robinhood Chain token with SOL?+
Open Trade, pick or paste the token's contract address, enter how much SOL you want to spend, and confirm. One signature in your wallet; the token lands on your Robinhood Chain address.
Can I go the other way — pay with ETH and receive SOL?+
Yes. On Swap you can flip the direction. Paying from Robinhood Chain requires a little ETH there for gas, and the SOL arrives on your Solana address.
Can I sell as well as buy?+
Yes, on both chains. Selling a token on an EVM chain normally takes two signatures: an approval that lets the router move that token, then the sale itself.
Can I buy any token, not just Hoodetta?+
Paste any Robinhood Chain contract address into the token picker on Trade and, if there's a route for it, you can buy or sell it the same way.
What is the Round trip page?+
A guided version of the full loop: buy on Robinhood Chain, move it to Solana, sell there, and bring the proceeds back — each leg quoted and executed one at a time.
Can I send the SOL myself instead of signing?+
Yes. Swap offers a manual mode that gives you a one-time deposit address, so you can pay from any wallet or exchange and the destination side still settles to you.
Fees and timing
What does it cost?+
Network fees on each chain plus a small routing fee for the party delivering the asset on the other side. The total is shown in the quote before you confirm — nothing is taken silently.
How long does a swap take?+
Most routes settle in seconds once your deposit is confirmed. Busy networks or large amounts can take a few minutes while extra confirmations come in.
Why did I receive slightly less than quoted?+
Prices move between quoting and settling, and large orders move the market against themselves. That difference is slippage, not a hidden fee.
What are the token taxes?+
0% buy and 0% sell on Hoodetta itself. Other tokens set their own rules — check before you trade them.
Troubleshooting
I pressed confirm and nothing happened.+
The wallet prompt sometimes opens behind the page or is blocked in an in-app browser. Reopen the wallet, look for a pending request, and if there's none, refresh and try again — an unsigned order costs nothing.
It says connect MetaMask, but I'm already in Phantom or OKX.+
That message meant no EVM account was exposed yet. Unlock the wallet, allow the EVM account for this site, and reload — Phantom, OKX, Rabby and MetaMask are all accepted.
My deposit went through but I haven't received anything.+
Give it a few minutes and keep the order's transaction links. The destination side follows the origin confirmation; both hashes are shown so you can verify each leg on its explorer.
The page looks stale or the buttons misbehave.+
Hard-refresh once. In-app wallet browsers cache aggressively, and a reload pulls the current version.
Safety
Does Hoodetta hold my funds?+
No. Everything moves from your wallet to the route and on to your own address. There is no account balance held here.
Who could ask for my private key?+
Nobody legitimate, ever. No admin, giveaway or support agent needs it. Anyone who asks is trying to steal from you.
How do I avoid fake tokens?+
Names can be copied; contract addresses cannot. Always paste the address from a source you trust, and send a small test amount first.
Is this financial advice?+
No. Hoodetta is a meme token and this site is a tool. Only spend what you can afford to lose.
